How to Prepare for your Appointment

Please review this checklist carefully before scheduling and again before arriving for your Permanent Makeup (PMU) appointment. These guidelines are in place for your safety, best healing, and optimal results.


We CANNOT Perform Any PMU Services If You:

You will not be eligible for PMU services if any of the following apply:

You are pregnant or nursing

You are currently undergoing chemotherapy and/or full radiation treatments

Note: Prophylactic chemotherapy is generally safe for proceeding

You have active skin inflammation or flare-ups due to dermatologic conditions such as:

Rosacea

Eczema

Psoriasis

You have active sunburn in the treatment area

You have previous permanent makeup done by another artist that may require a major corrective procedure

Before scheduling or performing corrective PMU or edits of another artist’s work:

Clear, high-quality photos must be submitted

An in-person consultation may be required

Approval is determined on a case-by-case basis

BROW SERVICES

Before Your Brow Appointment:

  1. Do not wax, thread, tint, or laminate your brows for at least 7 days prior to your appointment
  2. Avoid Retin-A, Tretinoin, Glycolic Acid, and Vitamin C on or around the brow area for 7 days prior
  3. No Botox or Dysport in the forehead or brow area for at least 24 hours prior
  4. Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning for at least 1 week before your appointment
  5. Arrive with clean brows — no makeup on the brow area
  6. If you have previous brow PMU from another artist, photos must be submitted and approval granted prior to booking

LIP BLUSH

Before Your Lip Appointment:

  1. If you have EVER had a fever blister/cold sore, you must:
  2. Obtain a doctor’s note
  3. Pre-medicate with Valtrex or Acyclovir as prescribed
  4. (No exceptions — failure to do so will result in rescheduling)
  5. Hydrate your lips daily for at least 7 days prior (use a gentle lip balm)
  6. Gently exfoliate lips 2–3 days before your appointment (do not over-exfoliate)
  7. Avoid lip fillers for 4–5 weeks prior to PMU
  8. Avoid Retin-A, Tretinoin, Glycolic Acid, and Vitamin C on or around the lips for 7 days prior
  9. Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning to the lips for 1 week prior
  10. Arrive with clean lips — no lipstick, gloss, or liner

EYELINER

Before Your Permanent Eyeliner Appointment

  1. Have received LASIK or cataract surgery
  2. Required waiting period: 1 month prior to surgery and 3 months post-op
  3. Have used Latisse or any eyelash growth/boosting products
  4. Required waiting period: 4 weeks before your appointment
  5. Have lash extensions
  6. Lash extensions must be removed prior to your appointment
  7. You must wait until all PMU is completely healed before resuming lash extensions
  8. Wear contact lenses
  9. Contacts must be removed prior to your permanent eyeliner service
  10. You must wait 24 hours after your appointment before resuming contact use
  11. Please prepare to wear glasses when leaving your appointment**
